Gino Sarfatti Model 225 Sconce in Aluminium and Brass for Arteluce, Italy, 1957. A rare and desirable mid century sconce by famous lighting designer Gino Sarfatti for Arteluce. Designed in 1957. Wonderful yet unusual shape and design - quite large also. Works great as a stand alone piece and will command attention. Beautiful adonized aluminium shade with a wall mount in patinated brass. Shows a wonderfully patinated yellowed off white inside, and includes the original Arteluce sticker next to the socket. Comes in a very honest and original condition with some minor marks and scratches - great working condition overall. Originally EU-wired. Literature: Gino Sarfatti 1938-1973 selected works, page 412.
