SkLO is made up of husband and wife design duo Karen Gilbert and Paul Pavlak. Gilbert brings her experience in the crafted arts and fuses it with Pavlak’s streamlined architectural focus to create pieces that are more about the journey of the creator than a final destination or defined look. Just from its oval backplate, one understands the attention to detail from SkLO as its crisp metal outlines the delightful forms in front. To create the twin glass shade, Czech artisans fuse two blown glass spheres while piping hot. Their soft, rounded features are an eye-pleasing complement to the light. A vibrant light mellows out through the curves of the shade to leave you with a comforting ambient glow.
