This unique lamp / sconce in mouth-blown murano glass is a true work of art and designed by one of the original artemide founders ernesto gismondi (1931-2020). what more could you ask for\.\.italian design, high end quality, genuine craftsmanship and with the original labels attached! oh and i have 2 of them! :-) the lamp is made of frosted murano glass, on the front it has a metal blade and brass detailing on the bottom. due to the white frosted glass this lamp provides very atmospheric, diffused light. fits many different interior styles with its elegant and timeless design. can rarely be found on the internet, so you have a very unique and rare item at hands! veart (founded in 1965 by sergio billiotti and ludovico diaz de santillana) manufactured artistic venetian glass and lighting until the early 1990s. The company's artistic director mario ticco (from venini) developed important collaborations with world-renowned artists and designers such as toni zuccheri, umberto riva, tobia scarpa, renato toso, noti massari, paolo zanotta, etc\. in 1991 artemide acquires veart with which mouth-blown glass collections are launched. artemide (milan, italy) was founded by gismondi and mazza in 1958.
