Cluckingham Toile was dreamed up right in my own backyard, inspired by the dozen or so hens that are usually wandering, pecking, and generally running the show out there. I wanted to create a toile that felt perfect for a cozy farmhouse dining room but would be just as sweet in a little cottage bedroom or playroom. My favorite part of this wallpaper print are all the hidden “Easter-egg” moments tucked into the classic toile design. If you take a closer look, you’ll spot whimsical garden gnomes, clusters of wild mushrooms, and playful bunnies tucked between the ferns. And of course, all of our favorite chickens are here too, including a Barred Plymouth Rock, a Rhode Island Red, and a Buff Orpington, each hand-painted with so much personality. It’s a playful twist on a traditional toile, full of charm, humor, and little discoveries that make you smile every time you notice a new detail.
