19th Century English Burl Walnut Wardrobe in Louis Philippe Style with Rare Marquetry Details This stunning late 18th-century English burl walnut wardrobe showcases exceptional craftsmanship and rare marquetry details on its front doors. The intricate fruitwood inlay features a beautifully designed urn with elegant flourishes and floral motifs, making this piece a true standout (please zoom on these images to see the fine craftsmanship we have never seen such expert level before). Interior wood is a wonderful mahogany on all the drawers. The interior offers both functionality and charm, with a spacious open section on the left for hanging clothes, while the right side features four sliding shelves and a smaller drawer for versatile storage. The lower portion includes two full-length drawers, all fitted with original campaign-style brass pulls that have developed a remarkable patina over time. Expertly restored by Kipper of Los Angeles, this piece has been thoughtfully brought back to its original glory. New solid brass hinges—crafted from raw, unlacquered brass that will naturally patina over time—were added to replace the failing originals. Interior dimensions: Hanging space: 19.25" deep × 25" wide × 50" tall Drawer heights: Two lower drawers at 8", upper drawer at 7" For convenience, this wardrobe can be disassembled for easier transport, as shown in the rear photo detailing the breakdown seams. A rare and exquisite antique, this piece is both a functional storage solution and a timeless statement of sophistication.
