Pine Two Door Six Panel Armoire

This good-looking two door armoire has a lovely honey color, relatively clear wood and an attractive grain pattern, as well as most of the features we like to find in a Central European antique wardrobe. The pretty crown is comprised of a classic ogee crown molding above a row of gadroon molding. These sit above two pivot-hinged doors, each with three flat panels, a central rectangle with a square panel above and beneath, all secured with bold ogee mullions. The front corners are decorated with applied fluting , capped with a hand-carved hardwood acanthus leaf corbel. The doors open about 100 degrees to reveal a retrofitted hat shelf and hanging pole.
