Moritz Herrgesell was an Austrian designer and interior architect. He was a student of Josef Hoffmann from 1901 to 1905 at the Vienna School of Applied Arts. He also received an award from Hoffmann for his works. The furniture factory run by Moritz Herrgesell's father Anton Herrgesell was one of the leading furniture manufacturers in the capital Vienna. Designs were not only produced by Moritz but also by other well-known designers such as Josef Hoffmann, Alexander Popp, Siegfried Theiss and Carl Witzmann.
