This is a vintage 1940's Stickley wingback lounge chair featuring a beautifully figured cherry frame with sculptural exposed wood sides and classic winged silhouette. The chair retains its original traditional character while offering a cleaner profile than many overstuffed wing chairs of the period. No mark could be found, but all it's attributes including size and provenance strongly suggesting it is indeed an early Stickley ladies chair. The warm cherry-toned frame showcases attractive grain throughout, particularly along the shaped side panels, arms, and stretcher base. Upholstered in a traditional floral and medallion patterned fabric with decorative nail-head trim, the chair is generously proportioned and exceptionally comfortable. This is in very good condition for its age. Presented in vintage condition with age-appropriate wear to the frame and upholstery consistent with use and age. Structurally sound and ready for immediate use.
