A beautiful Danish modern wingback lounge chair with a great early mid-century look, very much in the manner of Fritz Hansen lounge seating from the period. The chair has a tall sculptural back, rolled arms, button tufting, and tapered fluted wood legs with metal ferrules. The proportions are very appealing, giving it the comfort of a traditional lounge chair while still feeling clean and modern. The upholstery appears to be an older mohair or mohair-like fabric in a warm taupe brown tone. It has visible age, wear, and patina throughout, which gives the chair a very authentic vintage feel. The construction also points to a quality mid-century piece, with traditional upholstery methods, coil springs, and webbing visible from underneath.
