Italian-made armchair designed by Melchiorre Bega in the 1950s. Wooden frame upholstered and lined with new blue velvet fabric, seat with upholstered and lined cushion and shaped wooden feet. Elegant bergére armchair stylistically suspended between the physicality of Melchiorre Bega and the lightness of Gio Ponti. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
