Pair of Antique circa 1880-1900 French Louis XVIII style Fauteuils Bergère armchairs with hand dyed cigar brown leather seats. A very good looking well made and decorative pair of armchairs, these have been fully restored to include having new, Italian leather, hand dyed seat pads which have been chesterfield tufted, the frames have been checked and waxed and polished The original seat pads were bergère but as is always the case with these older examples, they had sunk, the new seats are very comfortable and will last another 100 years Dimensions Height:- 84cm, seat height 51cm Width:- 69cm Depth:- 55.5cm This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
