Armchair Attributed To Gigiotti Zanini, 1930s

Chairish

$1,821

Armchair by Gigiotti Zanini. Elegant armchair made in the 1930s. The frame is made of walnut, and the backrest and seat feature cross-springs that give it an oriental feel. The armchair has been completely reupholstered and restored and is therefore in excellent condition. Designed by the architect Gigiotti Zanini, who studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. After the war, he moved to Milan, where between the 1920s and 1930s he designed numerous residential buildings and various interior designs. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
