Danish Modern teak armchair by Arne Hovmand-Olsen, 1960s. Sculptural Danish Mid-Century Modern chair in solid teak with black leather upholstery. Designed by Danish architect Arne Hovmand Olsen and made by Onsild Møbelfabrik, Denmark for Jutex. Frame and armrest in solid teak. Armrest is made in one piece and wraps around the back of the chair. Angled and curved backrest in teak veneer with brass spacers. Very comfortable and elegant chair that will compliment any Mid-Century Modern writing desk. High quality materials and craftsmanship with beautiful details. Suitable as a desk chair, side chairs or as a dining room chair. Very good original vintage condition with only light patina consistent with age and use. Wood has been cleaned and polished. Seat and back is recently reupholstered in soft black leather. Ready for use. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
