In 1977, Danish designer Rainer Daumiller took a humble natural material - pine - and turned it into a beautiful, sculptural chair contoured for comfort and built with robust durability. Made at his local sawmill from certified solid pine, it highlighted the enduring beauty of renewable wood at a time when sustainability awareness was just starting to grow. An expert craftsman, Daumiller ensured the chair's generous seat, curved arms and backrest were gracefully shaped to support the body. Now produced by the expert craftspeople at Gubi, the chair captures every part of the original's beauty with a slightly higher seat. It's milled in FSC-certified pine and still finished by hand to create a sculptural form that radiates strength and timelessness. Made in Denmark.
