Lovely antique Chinese elm wood armchair, likely Ming, 19th century. 4 legs secured by 4 stretchers with dowel joinery, very sturdy. Graceful curved back splat with carving and ebonized spindles at arms and back. Elmwood has a glazed amber glow. 20” wide by 17”deep by 31” high/ seat height 16” and arm height 23”. Good antique condition - sturdy. Some scratches to finish.
