A 19th-C. English William IV three tier mahogany dumb waiter with original brass and porcelain wheel casters and rich original patina. Often repurposed as a liquor serving station. These furniture pieces were used to serve food to the guests who could gossip out of earshot of the servants, hence the name dumb waiter.
