Bench made from mirror polished aluminium extrusions and woven cane seating 400mm x 1450mm x 450mm (W x L x H).Originally realised for the Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield and inspired by Donald Judd and Børge Mogensen, Anodised Wicker marries industrially extruded and anodised aluminium with hand-woven cane wicker, rush envelope and flax webbing seats. The clinical and precise aluminium contrasts the warm and organic material. To this day we assemble the pieces in my studio in London and apply the cane, rush or webbing seating ourselves.Alternative finishes for the frame are grey anodising or any colour anodising, the woven seat can also be done as an envelope rush weave or flax webbing.
