An extremely long bookcase of double-breakfronted form. Rare for the use of exceedingly figured burr yew wood veneers throughout. The astragals of the 12-pane glazed doors are fashioned out of solid yew. With an out-swept cornice featuring a strip of thumbnail molding above dentil-molding. The waist embellished with a band of blind fretwork in the form of connected diamonds and rings. Retaining an outstandng color and patina. Probably built originally as a built-in bookcase.
