This is a Georgian revival bookcase or display cabinet. It is mahogany with satinwood inlays throughout the upper portion. The doors have beveled glass and the shelves are wood. A key is included. The locking mechanism is German. Based on the detail ranging from the dental molding to the raised panels to the satinwood inlays and the slimness, I have deduced this is most likely a custom piece from the northeast. It presents beautifully and is perfect for a variety of uses…from books to treasures, it is a winner!
