Swedish mid century burr elm low open bookcase circa 1950. fine quality example of this type of bookcase, which lends itself to many rooms around the house. elm veneered sides and top with rounded corners. Below the top surface are 2 lockable drawers and a single door cupboard each veneered in a golden burr elm.  cupboard interior consists of 2 adjustable shelves.  main aperture for book or decorative items comes in the form of a single adjustable shelf.  standing on 4 tapered legs. recently fully re-finished in our workshop and polished by hand. minor surface fading to top.
