A prized estate piece, this buffet unlike most is constructed of elm and applewood which over two and a half centuries have developed extraordinary patina. Great value lies in the design and carving which include perfection in asymmetry and repetitive motifs of the mid 1700s. Panels are deeply molded and arches are doubled.. The hardware and keys are original. Some minor restoration to feet and separations as expected. Furniture form this region and period is most desired.
