This handsome piece is a French Buffet Deux Corps, which literally translates to a buffet with two bodies, referring to the fact that the upper cabinet can easily be separated from the lower. This marvelous storage cabinet dates from the late 19th century. Crafted from French walnut, it has a warm and rich tone, and includes original escutcheon plates. Open the pair of upper cabinet doors to reveal two adjustable (and removable!) shelves and ample space for storing your belongings. Two lower cabinet doors conceal additional storage space for toys, books, blankets, or whatever you may need. The perfect size, we can think of so many uses for this cabinet. From a spot to conceal a TV in a living room (interior cabinet width is 48.5”), to clothing or linen storage in a bedroom, bathroom or laundry. The cabinet comes pre-drilled with a small 2" hole in an inconspicuous location (see photos) for power cords. It also includes an original skeleton key which can be used to operate the antique door locks.
