Elegant Art Nouveau buffet cabinet by Jacob & Josef Kohn, Vienna, circa 1904. The design reflects the Viennese Secession style, with gently curved side supports and a restrained, architectural form. Executed in mahogany-stained beechwood with original brass fittings. The upper section features glazed double doors with glass panels and an interior glass shelf, suitable for display. Below is an open compartment with a marble surface, above a lower cabinet with enclosed storage. The cabinet shows well-balanced proportions, with a shallower upper section and a deeper lower section enhancing both functionality and visual stability. The piece bears the original manufacturer’s stamp. Depth: 40 cm (upper), 54 cm (lower) Acquired from the same Viennese household as a complete Vienna Secession furniture ensemble attributed to Jacob & Josef Kohn and Gustav Siegel, circa 1900.
