A superb well proportioned mahogany serving table by john taylor & son edinburgh. The generous slab top has a gentle moulded edge with a well carved shapely gallery back on a square frieze. Raised on turned legs and finished with over size brass castors. This well figured table exhibits a rich colour and patina presented beautifully in good country house condition. In 1852 taylor and son were appointed ‘cabinet-makers and upholsterers in ordinary to her majesty the queen at edinburgh’. The table has the makers stamp to the reverse with the number c7672 also embossed.
