While he usually specialized in the use of sheet steel to create his distinctive angular pieces, designer Jean Prouve also sought to show off wood as a viable material for a contemporary table. The result was the Vitra Gueridon Table, with a solid round wood top and wedge-shaped legs held together with lovely Black powder coated tubular steel struts.
