French designer and engineer Jean Prouve created the round, wooden Gueridon Table for the University of Paris in 1949. An example of the designer's architectural approach to furniture design, the diagonal legs slant outwards for stability and are braced with steel hardware - creating an aesthetic that's both rugged and light. It's the ideal size for a small dining, work, or game table. This classic table is produced by Vitra, which worked closely with the Prouve family to bring it back into production in 2002.
