Deconstructivism Candle 6, Frigid Wonderland — Blue

$129

Gessato

Does it smell like cold forest air? Yes—icy citrus up top, conifer sap in the middle, then dry vetiver and sandalwood. From SOAPMEN’s Deconstructivism series with BOLTBOLT (Gallery), Candle 6 — Frigid Wonderland is a teal-blue column cut with wings and an oval shield—part totem, part small sculpture. Strike the wick and it opens with Buddha’s hand, lime, and kumquat; the heart turns needle-green (snow pine, cedarwood, Douglas fir); the dry-down lands on clean vetiver with a pale sandalwood trace. Short burns keep the citrus crystalline; longer sessions draw out the woods. Set it on a tray and let the form live between burns, or cluster it with other numbers to build a jagged skyline on the mantel.
