A pair of these found there way to Frank Loyd Wrights' "Falling Water" in 1947. They were a predictable hit. They continue to resonate with mcm homes. I repainted these and had some sewing done to the leather. Hope you like them. Hardoy and his co designers never copyrighted their design. These chairs are probably not Knoll. It is written that an original Knoll Hardoy chair had a label below the chair. I have the original canvas seats. They have no label. The leather seats have no label either. The craftsmanship of the metal frame is excellent. I bought at a New Haven Ct. sale. The house was 2 houses away from where Meryl Streep lived while she was a student at Yale. This product is not attributed to Knoll. Knoll stopped making them in 1951. They made them for 1 year.
