Mid Century Shell Chair By František Jirák, 1960s

This is a timeless, futuristic design chair designed by Frantisek Jirak in the mid-1960s when a lot of Czechoslovakian designers expressed their futuristic ideas. The classical shell chairs have a fiberglass shell seat which is very string, upholstered in green upholstery. The base is made of wooden construction. The chair shows signs of wear on the upholstery. It is very strong and stabile, the wooden construction has been repolished. The upholstery is original. It can be kept as it is or reupholstered into a new fabric.Condition report:Very good, original condition. Minor fading.Additional dimensions information:seat hight 39cm
