An exceptional set of three René Gabriel 103 chairs with slatted seats, crafted from solid beechwood in the 1940s. These historic pieces of French decorative arts possess genuine heritage value. This model was the first version of the chair designed by René Gabriel as part of the "furniture for disaster victims." Its slatted seat proved particularly arduous to manufacture in the context of the time's emergency, and it was quickly abandoned in favor of a slatted version, much simpler for the commissioned cabinetmakers to produce.
