Judit Burián Hungarian artist designed the “Erika” called chair in 1959. She was inspired by the chair of French designer, Pierre Guariche Tonneau. Erika was produced by the SZKIV (Chair, and Upholstery Industry Factory) in tens of thousands of copies. In almost all Hungarian households, these were used during socialism.
