Beautiful pair of Mid-Century "Sweetheart" bentwood chairs. These chairs were produced in the 1960s by ZPM Radomsko in Poland—a historical factory that originally manufactured furniture under the Thonet enterprise. Design & Features: Iconic Silhouette: Features the highly sought-after No. 16 "Sweetheart" backrest pattern, expertly formed from steam-bent beech wood.Natural Elements: Outfitted with classic woven cane seats. Warm Patina: Finished in a gorgeous, honey-toned stain that highlights the organic variations of the natural wood grain. Dimensions (Approximate) Overall Height: 35" x Width: 16" x Depth: 17" / Seat Height: 18" Condition: Very good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and gentle use. The steam-bent beech wood frames are structurally solid, tight, and stable. There is some scuff marks on the legs and dings to top of the back of chair, consistent with age and use. The hand-woven caned seats have some indentation in the caning from seating use. No tears in caning. Please review the photos carefully. (Additional photos available upon request).
