1950s Rippled Glass And Brass Chandelier Attributed To Carl Fagerlund

Chairish

$965

This is a GORGEOUS chandelier from the mid-century that I believe was designed by Carl Fagerlund. From what I can tell, there is no maker's mark, but it has the distinguishing features of his work. This fixture is artistically made with high quality materials. The glass has a beautiful rippled texture and has a saucer shape, that is curved in the center and then artfully swoops up at the ends. The center has a brass band indicative of that era. You can detach this detail for a more modern look or keep it for the full regency glam! I would consider this a semi-flush mount the way it is currently wired. The cord and canopy are 11”h so it does not hang too low right now. Inside, there are 3 standard sized bulbs, so this chandelier can give off a lot of light, if necessary. You can also get an idea of the scale from the bulbs - as this fixture could also be used as a main chandelier over a table. The measurements of the chandelier alone are 18 x 18 x 8”h. I have photographed the underside, and you can see that it has a lovely brass finial and floret on the bottom. This piece unscrews so that you can change out the bulbs. The chandelier works great and is ready for use!
