International marriages work for me, and here’s one that will last. The fixture itself is American, a 3-light solid brass light with its “tiger stripe” (also known as “Japanned”) patina, mostly all original (including the shade fitters and their decorative coverings) and in excellent condition (and freshly waxed to add to its luster). The three shades, French, are by the famed Muller Freres company, each nicely signed and in excellent condition. The wiring has probably been replaced, but in any event, whether it’s original or a replacement, it’s working fine (and has been tested). The socket interiors appear to have been replaced as they have aluminum components. Use any size bulbs (wattage) you choose. The chandelier hangs down around 35 inches as shown; the diameter with the shades installed is around 26 inches. I think it would be relatively easy to shorten this fixture if that would make it work better in your environment.
