More pas de deux than corps de ballet, the smaller version of Helsinki-based Japanese designer Arihiro Miyake’s dance-inspired chandelier glows with its own wondrous incandescence. In the tutu-like steel wire froth, a host of LEDs shimmer like candlelight while the slender structure also ingeniously transports the electric current. Much like the wonder of a stage performance, Coppélia leaves an enthrallingly magical mood in its wake.
