Cord Chandelier

The Cord Chandelier from Ravenhill Studio is an inspired design using refined materials to show off form factor determined by physics. Inspired by Jean Prouve's Potence Lamp and made using ceramic sockets hand-cast in Los Angeles, the inspired engineering of each fixture is on full display. Slender metal rods join each ceramic socket to a central hub, while an upper opening in each socket provides a run for the cloth-covered power cords that work with the rods to provide structural tension and keep each arm of the fixture elevated and counterbalanced without heavy or oppressive construction while casting warm radiance in all directions.
