This sophisticated Mid-Century Modern chandelier was realized by the esteemed Austrian glass studio J.T. Kalmar, circa 1960. It features four straight cylindrical arms extending perpendicularly from a two-tiered cylindrical chrome body. The handblown glass shades, crafted to resemble abstracted flowers, have a subtle texture suggesting the slightly distorted transparency of a mountain stream. This is an exceptionally fine example of Austrian lighting, and Mid-Century design in general. It is as aesthetically compelling as it is versatile- blending seamlessly with virtually any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. The fixture accommodates four candelabra based bulbs. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. Austrian, circa 1960 Dimensions: 14.5" height x 10.5" diameter.
