We are pleased to offer for sale this impressive 12-light Space Age chandelier, designed by renowned Italian designer Oscar Torlasco and produced by Stilkronen in the 1970s. This iconic vintage chandelier features the unmistakable eye-shaped glass diffusers reminiscent of Fresnel lenses, a signature design element that creates a stunning atmospheric effect. The sculptural glass shades beautifully diffuse artificial light while also refracting natural light, producing captivating reflections and a warm ambiance throughout the room. The substantial chrome-plated metal structure has undergone a thorough professional cleaning and polishing treatment using specific products for chrome finishes. It remains in very good vintage condition, showing only minimal oxidation marks on the upper section facing the ceiling, as highlighted in the photos. The chrome spacers connecting the glass diffusers to the frame have been newly reproduced following the exact original design, but extended by 1 cm to accommodate modern light bulbs, which are generally taller than those used in the 1970s. The chandelier is fully functional and in good vintage condition. All glass elements are intact. Minor signs of wear consistent with age and use are present. A striking and highly collectible example of Italian Space Age lighting design, ideal for collectors and sophisticated interiors. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
