This is a beautiful solid wood carved coffee table. It looks like it possibly may be Italian because of the light wood. The 4 corners feature a rope and tassel design and the center of the table is a carved knot. It is topped with a usable bevel glass. I think this could go in a few design directions. For coastal decor you can lacquer white or navy. It you want to Regency it up you can gold the wood. The finish is RTG so you can use as is. This classic design will never go out of style.
