The surface finish to this table is an innovation developed by llot llov in Berlin for Gallery Bensimon; for them, the studio exclusively designed a furniture collection based on a blue striped pattern. llot llov transferred the effects of osmosis caused by salt onto wood. First the surface is glazed in a monochrome color, then it is sprinkled with pure salt. The salt absorbs the liquid as well as the color pigments and leaves a lightened corona. Each pattern is unique, and the blue stripe pattern is based on sea salt.
