18th century PERIOD Rococo walnut console table. The top is made from walnut and is banded in satinwood, and has a central lozenge. The top has a beveled edge for added design interest. The top follows down to paneled sides, for a lovely profile from any place in the room. the front of the case is simply spectacular. The front of the piece is shaped and has a serpentine shape. The drawer front is molded around the edge and has three lozenges, also surrounded by satinwood. Underneath the case is a lovely hand carved scalloped frieze with shell and stipple decoration. The piece is supported on hand turned trumpet legs, joined by shaped cross stretchers and supported o hand turned feet.
