19th century oak console table from England with a stately hand carved decorated backsplash which has a central shield with a lions head surrounded by acanthus leaves, over a top with a beveled and carved decorated edge. This follows down to simple sides and a single drawer in the front, which has carving reminiscent of the back splash. The legs have scrolled knees and end in luscious paw feet in the front and simple legs in the back fro easy placement against a wall.
