A pair of magnificent eagle consoles designed by William Kent 1685-1748 A few (2) consoles from the Régence era. Monumental, fully sculptural and hand carved eagles made of solid beech wood. Gilded, each standing on a rock-shaped base. Solid rectangular and mottled marble top over frame. Frieze in meander decor. Nice patina, hand polish with shellac. This sumptuously designed piece of furniture embodies the peak of the will to represent.
