Dimensions: 35 ⅞” H x 45 ⅝” W x 19 ⅞” D A substantial French 19th century Empire mahogany console. The thick Carrara marble top is in wonderful antique condition, showing exciting gray veining that forms a nice contrast to the orderly and clean lines of the base. The top is elevated by thick columns with wood bases and capitals. Note there is not a drawer in the apron. A lower shelf with concave front supports the console structurally and creates another surface for display. Cleaned, tightened and polished with a French paste wax to preserve the historic character.
