A French console table, with fabulous breche d'alep marble top, circa 1930's-40's. This antique table from France features a breche d'alep marble top, comprised of a straight and shorter front side, with nicely scalloped & concaved sides, and longer across its backside to create a beautifully fluid shape. The top rests upon a wood base with apron detailed with a bead-and-barrel trim across the top and ribbon-carved trim along the bottom. Floral carvings are set at the front corners, just above the legs. This table is presented upon four rounded and fluted legs, braced with a cross-stretcher bar, which is adorned with a center platform topped with a three dimensional pot à feu (fire urn) at center, underside of table. This piece retains its original painted finish, primarily in taupe and beige tones, which compliment the original breche d'alep marble top.
