Soapmen Deconstructivism Candle 1, Green

Does it really smell “green”? Yes—crisp, spicy grass with flashes of green mango and tomato leaf over warm frankincense and cinnamon. From SOAPMEN’s Deconstructivism series shown at BOLTBOLT (Gallery), Candle 1 turns architectural geometry into scent: a deep-green column cut with sharp planes, poured in small batches so no two are quite the same. The accord opens bright (grapefruit, green mango, tomato), moves into a watery-floral heart (jasmine, lotus, citrus), and settles on a resinous base (frankincense, cinnamon, a leathery hint). It throws clean and cool without reading “perfume-y,” then mellows as the wax pool grows. Burn for short sessions to keep edges crisp; cluster with other numbers in the series for a small, sculptural skyline.
