When they designed the Can Sofa, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec reimagined the sofa as a form that’s less complex but just as relaxed and comfortable. Visible to the viewer, its unique tubular steel frame is light, graceful, and seemingly supports an embracing hammock-like canvas sling, which actually rests underneath the seat cushions on the frame’s platform. Can Sofa’s ample, welcoming cushions represent a playful juxtaposition to its minimalist frame and are made from high-density foam.
