With the Can sofa, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec seek to go beyond the creation of a practical, elegant and comfortable design.‎ The intention is to reinvigorate the whole idea of the sofa, from something inherently complicated to something simple, relaxed and accessible.‎ The sofa comes flat-packed and can be easily assembled at home from three basic elements – frame, cover and cushions.‎Frame: Powder coated steel or chromed steel.‎Mattress & Cushions: Foam and feather duvet.‎Mattress with integrated anti-slip fleece on the back side.‎ Non-reversible mattress.‎ Piping matches the selected textile or leather.‎Outer fabric: Black canvas or Natural canvas.‎Black cotton strap: Attached to the outer fabric.‎Available in 2 different base finishes:- Black powder coated steel (RAL 9005)- Chromed steelOuter fabric available in 2 different colours:- Black canvas (100% linen)- Natural canvas (100% linen)Mattress & Cushions: Available in 7 different fabrics and leather.‎
