Stracciatella is the inaugural piece from Tellurico’s ongoing Telluride project—an award-winning series of sculptural vessels crafted in a proprietary Volcanic Porcelain. This striking bowl merges material innovation with deep geological narrative: a blend of ultra-white elastic porcelain and lava stones sourced directly from the Phlegrean Fields in Southern Italy. During firing, the lava bursts through the surface of the porcelain, forming spontaneous, organic textures that make each piece unique.Although produced in a limited edition, no two bowls are ever alike; each one is shaped by fire, chemistry, and the elemental tension between fragility and force. The resulting object is more than a functional centrepiece: it is a work of material poetry.In 2021, Stracciatella was awarded the prestigious Fondazione Officine Saffi Award in Milan. It has since been exhibited internationally, from Emma Scully Gallery in New York and Mint Gallery in London, to the ADI Design Museum in Milan, the Hong Kong Design Institute, and the Italian Pavilion in Beijing, affirming its status as a collectible object within the global design landscape.
