Tabernacle door and its frame, in chiseled bronze, decorated in the middle with a representation of christ carrying a lamb in his arms, this sculpture is in silver-plated copper. it is signed ‘j. Vallet’. French sculptor born in 1841 in la boissière du doré (44) and died in 1920. Established in nantes, many of his works can be admired in certain churches in loire-atlantique, notably an agonizing christ, in carrara marble, in the chapel st joseph of nantes cathedral. around the door we can read the latin inscription ‘ego sum resurrectio et vita’ (i am the resurrection and the life). period: 19th century gongs, lock and key in working order. high. 43cm wide.
